I began my Reiki journey in
1993. At the time, I did not realize I had actually begun
following a path, one that would propel me into a new way of living by becoming a
reiki professional/master teacher. Working in a
spiritual/holistic bookstore exposed me to many different
healing modalities. One day, a friend gave me a Reiki
treatment and I felt a shift afterwards. Some inner sadness
that I had been aware of, but couldn’t even name, much less
release, simply left me. It wasn’t there anymore and I felt
more peaceful and happier. That was the beginning of my
relationship with Reiki.
Shortly after that experience, I was initiated into the Usui
Shiki Ryoho Reiki Method of Natural Healing. I began
self-practice and later on in the year, yearning for a
deeper connection, I was initiated into Reiki II. Then in
1995 reiki professional degree and in 1996 I became a reiki
master teacher.
2007 brought Usui Reiki Rohoyo training with William Rand of
the International Center of Reiki Training. In 2008 I
had the opportunity to study with Reverend Inamoto Hyakuten,
a japanese buddhist monk from Kyoto Japan. This was
training in the Komyo reiki tradition stemming from the Usui/Hayashi
tradition.
Along with teaching, I have a full-time private practice and
am dedicated to Reiki for myself and others. I consider
it an honor and privilege to be able to introduce this
subtle, gentle yet powerful practice to all who wish it. For
those who cannot see me in person, I love sending distance
Reiki to anyone, anywhere in the world.
I look forward to meeting you whenever you are ready to move
forward in your healing journey through the gift of Reiki. |
